Guys once you're back from break I'm sure you're gonna get blogging again, so here's something for you to feast on when we get back to school.

She's so cool. I used to listen to her all the time when I was younger. She was like the beginnings of a cappella (yes, way before pitch perfect) in 2004. She's from Iceland guys, so does anyone know what language they speak there? Luckily she sings in English, so you'll be able to understand her. I really don't know what else to say, you'll just have to discover it on your own cuz I really can't say enough to guide you through her music. No two albums are similar. She's older now, but she still sings extremely well.

I recommend "Venus as a Boy" "Human Behavior" "Triumph of a Heart" and "It's Oh So Quiet" to get you started. Make sure you check her out cuz I'm pretty sure most of you will have heard about her for the first time just now through this blogpost.

Demi Lovato on Tour with 5H and Little Mix

                                                Have you heard? They're coming!

So, I went to a Julieta Venegas' concert and I saw that Demi AND 5th Harmony AND Little Mix were coming on February 15th! I started flipping out, like, I literally stood up and pointed up at the big screen announcing all the concerts. My mom just said ok and told me to sit down before security came to kick us out. 

Story. Of. My. Life.

Anyway, guys, you should get a ticket. I might, but idk cuz I'm still trying to decide between this and Imagine Dragons.

Nelson Mandela

Ok, so since we have the mandela article due today, and I'm just sitting on the couch waiting for my mom to get my brother ready, I'm going to post about Nelson Mandela. I mean, he's technically a celebrity, right?

By the way guys, if you haven't noticed, he looks like he could be Morgan Freeman's long lost twin!!

Anyway as I'm sure you all know, he died of a lung infection on Thursday at age 95 (hope i get to live that long). When I started reading about him he kinda reminded me of Abe Lincoln, although there is a signifiant difference between them in everything except for purpose. These guys are just great, I love their ideas and I think it's awesome. Not the fact that he died, just, you know, that he was such a great person and everything.

Ellie Goulding

One of my current obsessions is Burn by Ellie Goulding, so I really wanted to talk about her.

 

 

I really like all of her songs, and I kinda just currently became a huge fan cuz I was watching the Voice and I watched her perform and her voice live sounds just like the track on the radio, so hence began the obsession.

 

I don't know, she's just got this really clean and natural voice. It's different from most people's voices and I like different.

 

You might say: Yeah right, the girl who likes 1D and Taylor Swift Surely must like different. You would say it in a very sarcastic manner but listen to me when I say this: I loved them from the start. I am not a Swiftie or a Directioner cuz that's too mainstream, people. I'm a Swifter and a Red Nose. GET IT RIGHT! I know, I'm a brand new Taylor Swift hard core fan, yes, but I liked her since her first album. I just wasn't as in tune with everything going on in the celebrity and music world. One Direction was introduced to me two and about a half years ago and I didn't like the idea of them being a cute boy band cuz that's super mainstream, but I listened to their songs and I became a directionator. Then the actual fangirling began, but I'm not gonna get into that cuz I got way off topic.

 

BUT BEFORE I DO THAT (and to begin a transition here) ... To those people who might still be onto the fact that Niall Horan was dating Ellie Goulding: They never were!! Ellie is dating Skrillex and I don't know how that's gonna work, but who cares. It's her life.

 

Anyway, yeah, you should listen to Ellie cuz she's really unique and you'll love her. Seriously, DO IT.

Kristen Stewart to Star in a Comedy

So... Since I put that mini blogpost thingy on my powerpoint, people have kinda been asking for more info and for this pic:

Kristen is planning to star in the new action comedy flick called American Ultra. We'll see how that goes...

 

I admire her for what she's done so far though. I mean the Twilight movie series were pretty good and she was kinda perfect for the role sooo... yeah.

 

I ALSO LOVE ZATHURA OMG ITS AMAZING!! That was kinda when I found out Josh Hutcherson even existed, so it's especially special.

EXTRA EXTRA!!

So guys... Guess what... ONE DIRECTION ARE COMING TO PHOENIX!! AAAAAAAAAARGH OMG ASDFGHJKL IM SO GOING AND IM SUPER EXCITED CUZ THEYRE FINALLY COMING FOR LIKE... THE FIRST TIME EVER THATS JUST SUPER AMAZING AHHHHH!!
Anyway, the biggest band on the planet is coming to us on August 16 next year :D They hadn't come cuz they didn't really like the heat here which is understandable cuz neither do I. I mean, I can handle a super humid tropical climate but Arizona heat is just dry and annoying. id much rather be at home... but enough about me. Lets talk about them:

For those of you constantly wondering, YES there ARE many reasons to absolutely love them and go head over heels for everything they do. It doesn't work with everyone, and I understand that, but there's really no reason to hate them. Oh, so you say they're gay?? WELL I THINK YOU'RE JUST EVIL! Haha Lily Allen reference there but seriously guys... Even if they were that's not enough of a reason to hate them. These are the reasons why I love them:

1. They're super hawt.

2. They're extremely talented.

3. They're just chasing their dreams, and I'm sure that if you wanted to became a pop star and achieved it then you'd get a lot of hate too, and they're going after their dreams as a team and in a way that has touched SO MANY hearts and kept so many people from committing suicide so please stop saying that they're ruining society (Wow that was long haha sorry I'm bored so my rant mode is turned on :P).

4. They're perfect.

5. THEY CAN SING BETTER THAN YOU SO BACK OFF!

6. Their lyrics are amazing. Keep in mind that even if it's other people who write their songs, they do have to approve of them and they are a group so it's harder to agree on those types of things. If you do hate them then just listen to their songs and forget about the fact that it's them. That's how I came to like them and I wasn't even a directioner. The only reason I became one is because I looked into their lives and I fell in love.

7. They're hilarious.

8. They're adorable and really caring with their families.

 

And many other reasons, but I really don't want to get too in depth or I'll end up writing a book or something haha but seriously... plz don't hate them. Their music may not be of your taste, but they're just five guys trying to accomplish all their goals through love and cooperation, it's truly beautiful.

She's nominated for Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist for Pop/Rock and Country, and Favorite Album (Country). One Direction was nominated for Favorite Band, Duo, or Group, and both One Direction and Taylor Swift got nominated for Favorite Album (Pop/Rock)

Prism Live Stream

Ok so I'm totally fangirling (as always) cuz yesterday Katy Perry did a Live Stream on her new album and I was ALL OVER IT LAST NIGHT. Like, I turned on the radio to 104.7 KISS FM and I heard "Roar" but it was live so I was really confused until the song was over and she started talking about her inspiration to the song "Unconditionally" which I personally thought was super adorable. She started talking about her trip to Africa with UNICEF and said that she came to a place where there was nothing but people. They were very short of resources except for one: LOVE. She talked about how the people here loved each other unconditionally and how she applied what she saw here to her song. I love her and she seems to have gotten rid of her "bubblegum" cali girl stereotype, which was also amazing, but it's great to see this tough, independent side of her. ASDFGHJKL.

Linsay Lohan's New Tattoo

So, Lindsay Lohan  finally revealed her new tattoo to the public. She tweeted about it saying "ok here's the final product, from me to you – xL," and attached this picture to it.

It has the words love, truth, and power at each corner, between them are the words authority, courage, and oneness with the word intelligence in the middle of the triangle.

Miley Cyrus' VMA Scandal

I know that there's a lot of people who strongly express their dislike for Miley Cyrus, and I would know because my parents are those kind of people, but I actually admire the fact that she doesn't care what others think about her. It's not that I think what she does is right, I mean just look at this:

That's just not right; however she's an amazing singer, and no one can deny that no matter how much they criticize her behavior. My current favorite song is actually wrecking ball, and it's got really strong vocals (no I do NOT like or approve of the video, cuz that was a little... TOO far). I just hope that some day she goes back to being her old self, but if this is the real her then I have no problem with her decisions no matter how bad.
